Painting Pumpkins & Halloween 2013

Vincent didn’t go out for Halloween this year because the poor little guy got sick on Wednesday and was sick through Sunday.  He got an ear infection too which just sucks.  But before he got sick, we had an opportunity to paint his pumpkin and for Mike and I to carve ours.  Vincent did really well with the paint, even though he did look at me with those eyes that want to test you and try and eat the paint.  Ugh.  Boys.  Anyway, we had a great time and even though Vincent didn’t get to go Trick or Treating this year, it’s OK! They’ll be plenty of time for that soon, so we just all snuggled up on the couch together and watched movies and sipped hot cider.  How was your Halloween? 829830831832833834839841850835

Photo shoot with a Handsome Dude

The other day I was sitting on the couch looking through photos I had just taken and Vincent comes over, rests his head on my shoulder and look on at the pictures as I was scrolling through.  After I was done, he jumps on and yells “Cheese!” How could I not start snapping away?

How did I get so lucky? Thank you God for this wonderful little boy.  He is my everything.

Vincent’s Commentary on Fall

Hi Guys, Vincent here – don’t mind that pasta sauce on my face.  I was too excited about coming outside to play in the leaves that I didn’t have time to finish cleaning off the shmutz on my face.  That’s what baths are for, am I right?

Yep.  Leaves on the porch are looking good.  Crisp, dry… yep.  They’re leaves alright!

Look at this pile Papa made.  I don’t know what to think.

Ragtime at Greenfield Village

A couple weeks a go we took the kids and ourselves to Greenfield Village for their street fair Ragtime show.  It was absolutely darling but so HOT – I cannot even imagine how the dancers felt in their full fledge costume’s in that heat.  Bless.  I think next time we will try some of the food they had there too – it smelled delicious! Here are a couple of my favorite shots!

Summer 2013 Bucket List

summer

Last summer was a blur.  I had a newborn, my gall bladder was removed, I went back to work and I was loosing my hair.  I was in deep with post partum hormones and frankly – I was a donkey on the edge.

This summer we have a toddler.  He is walking/running everywhere, he talking more and every time he see’s something new, he goes “Oh, Wow!” Heart.  Melt.

I want this summer to be fun.  Full of little adventures for our little guy.  I want to show him ALL THE THINGS! During the week im just a stress ball at work so when I get home and on weekends, it’s all about him and Mike.  Here’s to a fun filled summer!

What’s on your summer bucket list?

Why Yes, I went to Comic Con

So the other day, Vincent and I were perusing the isles of Target.  I was sipping away on my Icee and he was desperately trying to get a sip when I overheard a couple of Target employees nerd talking it up about Comic Con going on in Novi and how Stan Lee was even going to be there (if you don’t know who Stan Lee, don’t feel bad.  I didn’t know until like a year ago.  But the dude is a legend and like 90 years old)

As I heard this news, I quickly found a vacant isle and checked my phone and sure as shit it was last weekend (May 17-19) So I bought us a day pass.  And I actually had a blast.  Mike and I even talked about going every year.  If not anything, it was highly entertaining.

A Day At The Park

The other day I had a photo shoot and decided to check out Mill Race Historical Village in Northville.  What a beautiful place.  A play scape, a baseball field, a little river, a cute little village, and a couple gorgeous bridges.  BEAUTIFUL I TELL YOU! Here are a couple pics from the day.
